Idolatry and an angry heckler!

So this Saturday Mike and I went up to Westlake mall in Seattle. We did some open air preaching with our new portable microphone and amplifier. We had a great time! Many people heard the biblical Gospel. Mike had a few hecklers and a very interesting song-versation with a guitar playing atheist.

After a few hours of intense preaching, Mike bent down to pick up a bag of tracts and pulled a muscle in his back. He was in so much pain that we decided to head out.

We then went to Kent Station where Mikes back was feeling much better and we preached till about 10:30 PM.

There were some very heated conversations that night. One very nice Christian lady wanted to encourage me after a witnessing encounter by calling me a Christian %$#@#&. Bless her heart! I can't tell you how nice it is to be encouraged by a fellow believer when you are out preaching the Gospel to the unsaved!

One Heckler began challenging Mike on the doctrine of hell. He very loudly and confidently boasted that he was schooled in many languages and that there is no such thing as hell. I guess Jesus was misinformed then when he told the story of the rich man and Lazarus.

After the preaching, we ended our night with some great fellowship.

Well, that is about wraps up our Saturday night on the street.

God Bless

  1. hehe That's a funny sarcastic comment about the encouragement from the nice Christian lady ( I'm not sure if I should have put Christian in quotation marks). It's sad and interesting that many hecklers who are trying to quiet the preaching of the Biblical gospel call themselves Christians.
