Saturday the 11Th, the crew embarked on a rip roaring adventure in spontaneity. Mike, David, Jay, Kris and Jimmy (Our summer intern) left for Seattle at about 10:30 AM. We arrived in Seattle a little later than expected and had a little bit of an adventure in GPS navigation. We finally arrived at the Hing Hay festival at around 1:30 and then hit the streets. We were able to hand out more than 1500 tracts and witness to many people. There was a Man that David talked to named Walt and I'm sure that he would be very moved to know that you are praying for him.
The team left the Hing Hay festival at about 3:30 and headed over to the Seattle Center where they were able to distribute more than 600 tracts. We did some one on ones, had an early dinner and then headed over to Westlake mall to meet up with Mike and Jay. They left about thirty minutes before we did on the monorail. They did some tracting and witnessing on the way. We arrived at Westlake at 6:30 and preached till about 7:30. We had some great encounters at the mall and one very strange somewhat vulgar X-Marine.
After Westlake, the team decided to take a trip out to Kent station and finish off the night. We met up with Scott at about 8:15 and did some one on ones until just after 9:00 and decided to do some open air. We stayed at Kent until 10:30PM and then headed home for the night.
Needless to say it was a very eventful Saturday for the team. There were tears, laughs and broken hearts, but in the end rejoicing.
Please pray fervently for Northwest Street Ministries. As we come into the summer months, we plan on hitting the streets harder than we ever have. We need the Holy Spirit to be with us and move in the hearts of all the hearers.
God Bless, and in the words of Tony Miano,"Don't Quit!"
